Months in the planning, our first gala event was a bigger success than we’d hoped. From a mere concept in July, our staff and volunteers pulled together an incredible event with the financial and hands-on support of our Placer County community. The dedication of our staff and volunteers, in particular Don Kleinfelder, Kathryn Hart, Kathy Hendrickson, and Patty Carozzi, made this event possible. And the support from members of the community stepping in to help enabled us to pull it off in the last days and hours leading up to our big night.

Text Box: Thanks to team and community efforts, Child Advocates of Placer County exceeded our goal and raised $15,000, enabling another 10 children to be supported by a Child Advocate this year. The event also raised awareness about our program with over 70 community members interested in becoming Child Advocates, and several others interested in supporting future events, as well as sponsoring and volunteering for our program in other capacities.
